MY parents want me to get a job, in this obviously worsening recession what should i do? they both seem to think that because my dad got EXTREMELY LUCKY and didnt lose his job while EVERYONE ELSE around him did, they seem to think that “going job hunting” more often will yield better results…ive gone about 20 times and filled out atleast 300 applications and how many calls have i gotten? 1…youre probably going to say something like “take the job dummy” and i dont blame you, but the call wasnt for me, it was a job offering for someone else… what should i do?

Go out 20 more times and fill out 300 more applications. Yeah, its tough out there for everyone, not just you. But sitting around waiting for times to get better just because Mommy and Daddy will take care of you is not the way to go. Welcome to Life 101. There will come a day (sooner than you think) when you’ll be on your own. You might as well start being a man now. It’ll make your life a lot easier in the long run.
