Question by denimcap: When writing a résumé, do you account for lapses in employment in the ‘work history’ section?
Do you put something like
2005 – 2006 Studying (or ill, etc)
or do you just leave the lapses?

I just leave the lapses. If they matter, you’ll be asked about them. I have never been asked before.
