When laid off after your anniversary, what amount of vacation time and sick time should you be paid?

A company is not obligated by law to pay you for your untaken vacation time, although many do. You have to check your company’s specific policy – policies vary from company to company. It is doubtful that you will get any payment for untaken sick time. That is a benefit to you in case you are sick and need the time, but it is not considered the same as paid vacation time. If you don’t use it, you lose it.
