How soon after an interview do you start working?

I have an interview soon for a part-time retail job and I was just wondering how soon after the interview date I will start working/training. Right away? A few days? A week? I know it’s different for everyone, but in general how long does it take?

Thanks.
Sorry, I should have said this earlier-I know I’m not guaranteed a job, but the question assumes I am hired.

It depends it you get the job first, then 2 days to 2weeks on average, I started a job the next day before it just depends on how desperate they are for staff.

Having an interview is no guarantee you will be hired. Trust me, I’ve gone on lots of interviews but haven’t gotten all that many offers.

Depends on the company and their practices. I’ve interviewed for jobs and started the same day before. Other jobs have taken up to a month!

For me, I had my interview on a Saturday, was hired on a Monday, and went in for orientation Wednesday night.
Our store always does orientation on Wednesday nights so it just depends which day of the week the person is hired.
