Say that you have actively been seeking employment for the past month and a half.
Employers understand that people lose their jobs for whatever reason, and that the job market sucks right now. They won’t hold it against you.
makes it easier to accept a job right away if you’re unemployed.. It’s no big deal. Just be yourself. Don’t try and be someone you think the employer wants you to be. It’ll just make you look weird. Just be yourself.
I am currently unemployed but I have been doing volunteer work… get someone to go to bat for you with the volunteer work.. good luck

Tell them the truth. Everyone understands how easy it is to be unemployed and how long it could take to find something new.
