Question by sulaika: As a single, unemployed council tenant, would I lose money when I start temporary work?
I worked on a temporary basis before as permanent jobs were not available. After my job ended, I made new claims at the Jobcentre and council, housing benefit etc. It took months until they answered. I had to pay rent, council tax and living expenses whilst unemployed. What would you do? Keep on applying for a permanent job, hoping to get the job within 2 months? Or work temporarily and then make new claims?

I think you can work for 16 hours or less without affecting your claims.
