One thing I did to make life a little easier and eliminate endless searching of job postings was to set up a weekly email delivery through Career Builder. I set my preferences for the type of job I was looking for and Career builder complies them and emails them to me. Any new job that is posted automatically gets sent to my email. I have had a lot of success with this in the past. This can also be done through Yahoo Jobs.
I too have set up job alerts on Career Builder and Jobster and I also set up a profile on Linked In. The problem I am finding with these, is it seems to be the same jobs posted over and over for weeks at a time. Very few new jobs are being added. I also have found some of the local employment agency sites like (here in Texas) Sedona Staffing, NES Employment, Express Pros employment, all have the capability of sending you alerts for job postings or you can bookmark their sites. You might want to check your local newspaper online site, they might have a job seekers section you can bookmark to easily return to repeatedly.
I do receive daily emails from Monster, Careerbuilder,Yahoo, Indeed and many others. Like Patricia mentioned, it is
repetitive jobs that are being posted over and over and they don't even remove the postings when they aren't available or active anymore. Yahoo HotJobs is a joke as far as I'm concerned. I've had so many scam jobs postings through them it's ridiculous.
